How TMP manages your iPhone

TMP uses tools Apple built for managing iPhones. Here's what that means, plainly.

What TMP can see

  • The list of apps installed on your iPhone
  • Whether TMP's profiles are installed
  • Basic details: device name, model and iOS version

What TMP can't see

  • Your messages, email or calls
  • Your photos or files
  • Your browsing or what you do inside apps
  • Your passwords

What supervision is

Supervision is an Apple setting usually used for company and school iPhones. Here, you supervise your own iPhone.

It lets TMP block apps and keep its profile in place during a Block. A normal app can't do that.

Why setup erases once

Apple only allows supervision during a fresh setup. That's why TMP Setup erases your iPhone once.

Make an encrypted backup first. Photos, Contacts and Messages in iCloud come back after you sign in.

How Blocks reach your iPhone

TMP uses Apple's device management, known as MDM. When a Block starts or ends, Apple tells your iPhone to check in with TMP.

Your iPhone needs to be online. If it's offline when a Block ends, apps return when it reconnects.

What TMP can change

TMP hides the apps and blocks the websites in your Bundles while a Block is on.

During a Block, TMP can't be removed in Settings. Erasing the iPhone removes it, so it isn't impossible.

How to remove TMP

Restore the encrypted backup you made before setup. That removes TMP. Erasing the iPhone also removes it.

Deleting your account is a separate step. Delete your account

Only your own iPhone

Set up TMP only on an iPhone you own and use. TMP is for self-control, not for watching another person.
