Setup

Set up TMP in 8 steps

Set up once on a Mac. Your iPhone resets once — iCloud brings your stuff back. Then unplug for good.

What you need

  • A Mac with Apple silicon
  • A USB cable for your iPhone
  • Your Apple Account password
  • Wi-Fi
  • About 20–30 minutes

Setup erases your iPhone

It happens once. Apple requires it. Make an encrypted backup first, and check iCloud Photos, Contacts and Messages are on.

The 8 steps

TMP Setup walks you through each one.

  1. Step 1: Link

Sign in to your dashboard, download TMP Setup, and paste your setup code into it.

  2. Step 2: Plug in

Connect your iPhone to the Mac with a cable, unlock it and tap Trust.

  3. Step 3: Back up

Make an encrypted backup in Finder and save its password — it's your undo button.

  4. Step 4: Protections off

Turn off Stolen Device Protection, then Find My; you'll turn both back on at the end.

  5. Step 5: Erase

TMP Setup erases your iPhone once, because Apple requires it before TMP can be installed.

  6. Step 6: Wi-Fi

On the iPhone, pick your language and join Wi-Fi, then stop and keep the cable in.

  7. Step 7: Install profile

On the iPhone, open Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install within 8 minutes.

  8. Step 8: Finish

Unplug, then finish on your iPhone in this order:

    1. 1.Set a passcode and Face ID
    2. 2.Sign in to your Apple Account
    3. 3.Turn on Location Services
    4. 4.Turn on Find My
    5. 5.Turn on Stolen Device Protection last
    6. 6.Open the TMP app and sign in

After setup

You won't need the Mac again. Manage Bundles, Blocks and Schedules from your dashboard.

Blocks start and end over the internet. If your iPhone is offline when a Block ends, apps return when it reconnects.

Undo setup

Restore the encrypted backup you made in step 3. That removes TMP.

Photos, Contacts and Messages in iCloud come back after you sign in to your Apple Account.
